I know this model has been shown here before, but my one finally arrived after a long wait, so for the benefit of anyone who isn’t familiar with it I thought I’d post some pics.
I was lucky to get it at all. The models took so long to reach Europe from China that Robert Budig in Berlin had lost track of my pre-order! It was fortunate that I thought to e-mail him to check progress at just the right moment, and he still had one available in my chosen colour.
When it arrived I admit to having second thoughts about the blue, because I had the same feeling as I had about the ’63 Buick Riviera, that either black or ivory white maybe suit the crisp lines best. But it’s kind of growing on me, and there’s no denying the quality of the model itself
Of course, until this came along I was quite content with my own version of the GT Hawk (a conversion of the Matchbox Golden Hawk), although if you twist my arms until the sinews snap, pull my teeth one by one with a rusty pliers and apply a red hot branding iron to the soles of my feet, you might eventually extract a confession that my attempt doesn’t entirely match up to the GLM ( I think the roof and front screen on the Matchbox were a little too shallow, which affected the proportions of my new roof – or at least that’s my explanation) but I thought it was a fair try at the time.
Anyway, I now have my GT Hawk. And no, I don’t think I’ll try respraying it black any time soon.

The GLM Studebaker GT Hawks are very nice. The blue is the color I did not get. The white & black are my favorite, they look awesome in these colors. I've chose the other colors because I'd seen them in 1:1s, the blue I have never seen, so I passed on it.
Nice job on the one you made. Very creative.

I have the black and white versions and love them. They are in the top 10 of my collection.
This is a beautiful car and model in any of the colors, IMHO.
