There was recently a post about the number of cars already modeled as part of a dream cars museum exhibit that made several stops in 2014. It was triggered by the release of the Ghia Streamline X Coupe Gilda coming from Autocult’s Avenue43 series.
One that has been missing (and some may argue should stay hidden) is a 1:43 version of L’Oeuf electrique (aka The Egg). Karl just tipped me off to a recent post on Brooklin’s Facebook page announcing its release from their sister company SMTS. I gotta figure out how to get one!
The real thing…
And Karl’s pic of the real thing from the Indy exhibit in 2014…
I gotta figure out how to get one!
SMTS does not sell models anymore on their website per Keith. They only sell on ebay.
All their models for sale can be found here (click on link) https://picclick.com/seller/smtsmodels
I don't see that model yet, so keep checking back.
I'm looking for that one too Randy. I was able to contact Simon Elford via FB and he said the entire production is going to Microcar Models Australia. I've posted on that FB group that there's two of us who want one. Will let you know what I find out.
If I/m able to get one of these, there will only be two left from the Dream Cars at the High exhibit I need - '48 Tasco and 2001 BMW Gina.
the entire production is going to Microcar Models Australia
I wonder if somebody can purchase one from Microcar Models?
I wonder why not.....do they sell models? is that their business?
Here is the link to their website (click on link) https://microcarmodelsaustralia.com.au/
Looking around on their website, I found that all their minicars are made of white metal.
Maybe SMTS has been making their models exclusively.....can anybody here confirm this?
@mg-harv I’m holding out hope that Autocult will do Buehrig’s TASCO. 🤞🏽
The Ghia Streamline X Coupe Gilda Reminds me a bit of an Arcimoto 3 wheel tandem seating full electric vehicle made right here in Eugene Oregon.
