Here's another showcar I've seen in the flesh, so to speak, at the Dream Cars at the High exhibit, High Museum, Atlanta, in 2014. The story of the car is in the exhibit description, you may have to click on that one to read it. There is no description of motive power but today it has a turbine engine. See https://oldconceptcars.com/1930-2004/ghia-steamline-x-gilda-1955/
The Autocult is a nice replica, and if you look really carefully the decal for "Streamline" can be seen below the Ghia emblems on each side - a p/e part sure would have been nice here. AutoCult's usually good QC may be slipping a little, as the red paint has crept ahead of the chrome trim on one of the tailfins and there is a little gap at the windshield chrome/A-pillar interface.
Does anyone think the Ford Gyron got some influence from Gilda?
