Micro Models – Vintage Diecast Cars – New Zealand

The dies for these 1/43 scale cars were originally Australian in the 50’s but New Zealand manufacturers rented them and produced models in New Zealand in the 80’s until late 90’s.
I picked up most of mine in Sydney, Australia in 2001. I still have the Jaguars, MGA and a few Holden delivery vans.

I only ever had one NZ Micro David - the MGA. It succumbed to one of my long-ago collection purges but I still have pics.

Very nice!  I was vaguely aware of this brand but never bought any.

Great toy cars!

Micro Torro Vauxhall PA
Micro Torro Chrysler Cranbrook

I only have their Vauxhall and Chrysler Cranbrook, smaller than 1/43 though....  Made by Torro International in NZ.

Bonjour ou Bonsoir Gérard,

I think they are very collectible in Australia so might be expensive and hard to find.  Are there any Aussie model car shops left?  Maybe try the West Australian Model Collectors Club?  They are very active... Facebook. Bonne Chance!
