I never heard of this "organization" in more than 30 years collecting scale model cars. Why none of the founders of the original Diecast Zone are not even mentioned as at least posthumous inductees for all the work they did to create our community?
Jay Olins, Brown, Resnick and so many others have been instrumental to create our hobby.
@nickies, have you searched the site to see who is in it?

I quit paying attention to this after they thought a VW camper conversion (Matrix I think) should be model of the year. There were tons more worthy candidates. I think the reviewers have blinders on when it comes to all that gets released in a single year.
It seems to me that this organization can do nothing but encourage and promote the growth of collectables of all types. I see it as a positive and am not fussed about whether or not I agree with their particular opinions on the subjects that hold my attention; I am just pleased to see their interest.
@mg-harv, I think it gets down to what is recommended as candidates. My offline conversations with them show they don't get a lot of participation from the 1/43 community. Perhaps we can change that.

- 3-D printed models, in any scale, on demand..... NICE! We could talk about this until the 4th of July. 😀 😀
- Great interview John, numerous topics mentioned that could be further explored in depth down the road.
- I enjoyed this video very much, thanks.
All that talk about a museum but no mention of Sergio Goldvarg's new building going up in FL? Maybe he could set aside a Hall of Fame area?
@mg-harv
I was thinking about a museum in South Lyon, Michigan.

LOL....now there's a thought! Your idea may have Merritt!
@jkuvakas Yes I did........ They ask for donations and collections, right? Correct me if I am wrong.
....John (and his wife ) sold off his museum about 18 years ago.
@nickies, as mentioned in the interview, they are looking for supporters. But there is no request for collections. They have no facility. They are, at this point, a website. They've been around since 2009. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. The Zone had its own HoF, and it was a good one. With additional help and funding, it was one of the things we lost when it became necessary to reformat and update the Zone site.

@jkuvakas - I forgot we used to have our own HoF! Now we just have a House of Fools!
... Sorry, couldn't resist - it took me a while to figure out it really meant Hall of Fame!
