Thank-you Frank: big compliment coming from such an aficionado of both. I've jumped ahead a bit because all my 50s 'Yanks' are back in London and only have photos of them tightly packed in line. Hope you'll fill-in the gap.

Brim recorded for several labels, including Chess Records. "Ice Cream Man" was recorded in 1953 but not released until 1969.

I have an Album of Joe Williams on Roulette - A Man Ain't Supposed To Cry. It's modern late '50s / early '60s stuff - sort of shift jazz/ crooning. But I had no idea he had a history with the great Count Basie. Thanks for the post.

I find my gaze just melts into this pistachio, I'm sure your yellow is equally alluring. Minimarque did stunning models.
