I'm a huge fan of the full-size "Fuselage" Chryslers, '69-'71 and '72-'73. I had been looking for this one from Milestone Miniatures for quite a while and finally found it at a fair price. Interestingly, they chose to replicate the 4-door sedan from the price-leader Newport Royal series ($112 cheaper than the "regular" Newport).

I'm thrilled to have it in my collection:

20230603 110638
20230603 110659
20230603 110529

It might seem a little crudely done by today's standards but I love the subject matter so much it doesn't matter to me at all!

It can happily join my other "Fuselage" Mopars:

20230526 185102
20230526 185534
20230526 185734
20230526 185205

My dad had a 71 Newport in that olive green black vinyl roof combo.  👍

Those are great replicas of Chrysler’s fusslage design.  It’s really nice to see models of 4 doorf pillared sedans as in those days they were very popular.

To my eye, the Chrysler and Imperial better represented the "Fuselsge" design with C-pillars that flowed cleanly into the rear quarter panels (best seen without the vinyl top). Dodge and Plymouth had "shoulders" where the roof met the quarter panels.

They are great models of Chrysler’s excellent design. I have the Newport on my list too, maybe someday.

These are all great looking fuselage-style Chrysler Corp cars. Since Dodge was a client of my Dad's at the time, we had a 1971 Dodge Polara station wagon with a 383 engine.

Nice! Was it the typical Mopar metallic green?

I think all Polara wagons were at the Custom trim level, so that was a nicely appointed, spacious, and powerful wagon!

Lol, yep, it was a beautiful green colored car and was at a custom level of trim. It had a Dodge 383 V-8, but even as a 2 barrel carb, it was pretty fast ....... (ummm, as I recall)
