Bought an extra early Brooklin 1956 Plymouth Fury on sale and converted it into a Belvedere convertible.  Since I had a white top left over I found it fit back on nicely in spite of my jeweler's saw cut at the windscreen and C pillars so managed to get a two for one conversion.   Of course this is a non stock tri color Plymouth that was a Dodge and Desoto feature.  Now the 1956 Plymouth fleet also includes a two door Suburban, a Belvedere four door hardtop a stock Brooklin Fury and Plaza 2 door sedan.

Fantastic, John! And the Plaza Club Sedan looks better without the whitewalls, I think I'm gonna turn mine to black as well.

Good work, John!  I owned a '56 Belvedere 2 door hardtop back in the day, and I really liked it.  V8, pushbutton transmission with no "park," 2-tone cloth interior-   a honey!

The cloth upholstery on the '56 Belvedere was most unusual from the internet photos I viewed. A very busy black and white print material.  I was able to represent this by spraying flat black from a rattle can at a high level onto white adhesive backed address label paper giving a speckled look, then cut to shape and apply to the Fury seats which were quite different from the Belvedere ones.

Absolutely fantastic John. I especially like the results of your Belvedere convertible. It turned out really well. I can appreciate the work that went into this conversion. I am still working on a Brooklin 1955 Dodge Coronet 4 dr sedan conversion into a Custom Royal Lancer 2 dr htp. A lot more work than expected in order to get it right. Hope to be finished in the next 2 weeks. Will post pictures.

I'll be interested in your conversion.   My 1955 Dodge convertible is a Provence Moulage kit from long ago.  I also took one of these and made a Dodge La Femme.
