Wow, all these Imperials look magnificent ! The exterior colors are exceptional and the top-up version/option are especially cool.
They are gorgeous. My reservations are in.

What a great idea to offer both headlight styles! Now it's twice as hard to choose "just one".

HA! We were just talking about this in the Lounge the other day - I noted how goofy non-quad cars looked but man-0-man, it's SURE nice to see them in scale! Kudos to GLM! 😀 😀 😀 😀 👍 👍 👍 👍
Are they also repaints? They should have give us a Crown Southampton Coupe.
@chris There are a few designs that experienced this headlight change with few other changes the following year. Several I can think of that I prefer as a single headlight are the '57 Cadillac, Mercury and Corvette. In Mercurys case both style headlights were available in '57 (pics 3 & 4)

Right.... Like Imperial, they too complied with 1957 law - certain States deemed 4 headlight arrangements illegal, but that changed in '58. Mercury executed their '57 two-headlight design far better than Imperial - which, IMO, always had a "cyclopes-look" to it.
Why Imperial didn't copy - more or less - what Plymouth & Dodge did (they faked it ) is beyond me. But again, as I noted, although I hate the 1:1 look; I'm VERY glad to see these option available in scale.
Collectors are all but "obligated" to purchase both! 😀 😀 😀
Be prepared for two more versions for Tom Dirnberger. Sunset Rose single headlight, Indian Turquoise double headlight.
