Motor City Models

In response to a recent post enquiring about Motor City, I cannot go into too much detail, but I can let you know the following:- Motor City still exists! Jeff Thomas was quite ill for a long time, (several years). He is now feeling much better again and is trying to re-establish all of the connections, contractors, etc needed to get back into production.
He and I speak fairly often, he is working on new ideas and hopes to return to the modelling world soon.

examples.

I'm certainly happy to discover this great news about Motor City Models, and eager to discover their new models, hoping more models of the 40's and 50's, giving priority to Buicks and Pontiacs of that era
will be released. Can't wait!

Hi John, can you tdell more about the Motor City history

As far as I know Motor City is a US brand, Is or was the production in the UK? Is Jeff Thomas the founder? In 2006 and in 2007 MCG 1,2 and 3 were released. They were in resin and great quality. from 2007 nothing came from Motor City or USA models. Will Jeff produce in metal or resin?

I certainly more than appreciate that he feels better and enjoy the few Motor City models that I have more than you can imagine, which makes me fully confident that he will do great work when fully recovered. Can't wait to see that!

Hi Jacques, regarding your questions about Motor City Models, as I said in post 24142 I cannot go into any details. Jeff is proceeding cautiously at present and only authorised me to post that brief statement on his behalf. When he is ready he will make a further announcement possibly via myself.
