Beautifully done but I have to say I don't think it's the best looking woody I've ever seen

Wow indeed. I thought it would go in the high teens. I'm a big woodie collector but I wasn't tempted as I think it's design is some what lacking and I really for the most part only collect production cars. I'm sure Motor City did a fine job on it. Bob Hooper sold I believe this one a few years ago as I know it went to So Cal.

PICS - Here's a little more information about this car....
I'm with Curtis on this, high teens was my expectation as well.
This image is from my book, Independents in Miniature. As far as I know, the other owner of this prototype, who lives in the midwest USA, still has it.

41 Packard, So called Prototype.
What is strange to me is someone going to all the trouble to make a label.A prototype is usually something not yet in production as a sample for revue.I know of 3 more of these models.I was informed a few years ago that there could be 5 or 6 of these.A guy in Moscow has one that came in an unmarked box and its a little crude,not M/C standards.Prototypes usually are not painted.I'm just throwing this out there because it seems suspicious to me.I have two M/C models that are to me prototypes because they are not painted and the metal is clear coated/no glass.There were two of these 41 Packards that sold for over 2k a few years back.
