Mustang on patrol, 1998 by Road Champs

Your '98 looks quite a bit like the North Carolina Highway Patrol Mustang that I saw sometime in the 90's. I was commuting to work in a red Mustang at the time, and spotted the Trooper tanking his up. I stopped and we chatted. He had just taken delivery of it a few days earlier; his only complaint was that he couldn't carry all of his emergency medical/repair/defence-offence weaponry and other such police stuff in the small trunk. He also said that after a day behind the Mustang's steering wheel, he was ready to get back to one of the big sedans he had driven for years.
I wonder what he's driving now.
