@hobbydragon Didn't this car race at Le Mans in 1949 and 1950? Owner, co-driver and crew took it to the track and raced away.
@l-m-delage your story is right except that wasn't the same car. That was a very similar Bentley Corniche that was driven to the race, raced and took the crew back home
@l-m-delage I was wrong and you were right. That what the artificial compilator told:
Whenever I see one of these I always think of Etceterini, coined by Stu Shaller years ago to represent any small Italian sports or racing cars not from the big guys. Was Bizzarrini too big to be considered Etceterini? 😆 I hope you will show more!
@karl Etceterini is a generic term used to describe the small, handcrafted, low-displacement Italian sports and racing cars built by obscure or independent manufacturers, mostly from the late 1940s through the early 1960s
Bizzarrini cars with their giant big-block american engines and Giotto Bizzarrini himself (as the man behind most iconic Ferrari cars, 250GTO for example, and ISO cars also) definitely couldn't be described as "Etceterini".
And yes: I do have more of them
