This is MiniMarque43 No. GRB 15, the Packard 120 roadster that Wilbur Shaw drove to pace the 1936 Indy 500. It was in perfect condition, including no yellowing of the headlight lenses, which affects a lot of old MM43s and Top Marques. I think it may be old store stock.
Does anyone know the intro date for this one? Mine is No. 14 of 50.
Nice - here is a different version from 2010: https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/catalog_items/1936-packard-pace-car
It looks great as both a 1/43 model and a full-size 1:1 Packard. Just ask the man that owns one...... of any size !
Nice, be very careful of the hood ornament, probably delicate.

Wonderful white metal model! Congratulate you with purchasing! MiniMarque, founded by Richard Briggs is one of the most high quality and accurate mabufacturers. If this model was made in 2000- 2010s it belongs to new MiniMarque Era when Illustra bought some tools and the rights for brand. According to official information MiniMarque and Illustra still exist. I have written them email but these guys don't reply. Don't know why, but email and website work.
Did anybody connect with them?
Nice catch Harv. I don't have this one and wish I did.
@john-quilter The ornie was in a ziplock bag, positioned only for the pics, then carefully put back. Another reason why I think this could have been old store stock.
BTW, on a Facebook forum Tom Gibson found a reference to this model in a Dominion newsletter from 2000. That sounds about right - I may go check my MARs from around then.
