Packards from the latter years, especially 1954-1956, have been well represented in 1:43 scale (More would be welcomed!), and even the late 40's and early 50's have a few models sometimes available;  but the vast majority of Packard models have been those of the classic era, primarily the 1930's.  We Packard adherents rejoice over these.   But the earlier years are largely void of models.  So here is my nominee:  a Packard phaeton of the 1918-19 period, with some options suggested. I agree with you totally David. I would definitely buy your 1918-1919 Packard. One of my favourite models of my entire collection is from this period; my Esval 1920 Pierce Arrow. I would welcome any of the 3 P's from this era.

I don't think this would be a big seller. There's nobody still alive who remembers these cars when they were new, and precious few who might have seen them when they were kids. I think the audience that would be interested in this would be very, very small.

@moe-parr

I respect your opinion, but everyones tastes are different.

I grew up in the 70's, and although I probably saw cars from the 40's, I certainly didn't know they were from that era, but as I grew older and started to like cars, my interests in classic cars started growing. At first, I only liked the muscle cars from 1965-1971.

Then I started getting interested in the cars from the '50's.

And now my favorite are cars from the 40's..... and I don't have any memory of seeing or knowing what 40's cars were when I was a kid.

Maybe my interests will evolve even further and I will appreciate the cars from the '20's and '30's as I get older.

As far as a model I would like to see done, that would be the 1941 DeSoto coupe, in white metal, like the car in Cool Hand Luke.

I agree with you David. It would be a good companion to my VDM 1918 Cadillac.

Closest I have is the 1919 Packard 905 Special land speed record car by Bizarre. It went 149.875 mph, a US (but not international) record at the time.
