This is incredible what a more period accurate set of tires can do for some models that don't really pop out at first in the display. Those are coming from distressed GLM 1941 and 1951 Cadillacs I have in storage.
The 3rd picture is from the models with the original tires.

@chris I think it is particularly true on precision resin models because the details are so sharp.
