You see, in 1:43 one can be a gentleman farmer to one’s heart’s content.  The inspiration for my farm comes from my childhood memories of High Lawn Farm, a dairy farm in Lee, Massachusetts which is still functioning as a supplier of delicious milk and ice cream for the surrounding area. High Lawn has the finest herd of Jersey cows in the world.

It was at High Lawm where I fell in love with the Ford 8N.

And British Leyland, the maker of MGs, Triumphs, Land Rovers,  Jaguars etc,  produced this Leyland tractor for a number of years.  This one is a Dinky.  Also shown is a David Brown tractor by Dinky which company also made Aston Martins.

And a 1:1 spotted in a local car museum. Powered by a dieselized version of the MGB engine.

An even earlier Dinky - the Field-Marshall tractor. Haven't made pics of my Massey Harris yet. Note the sold metal wheel-tire units and the early steering position mechanism.

It reminds me the movie The Straight Story with Richard Farnsworth. No longer having a valid driver's license, he resolves to hit the road on his 1966 John Deere lawn mower, for a journey of more than 240 miles from Iowa to Wisconsin to see his brother that he was not see since ten years .
