I’ve always thought the Renault 4CV, a quirky little car, was rather fascinating. Though rare in the U. S. the 4CV would be superseded by the much more popular Dauphine and Gordini. Thanks to the internet I spotted on eBay this nice little gray 4CV and immediately notified Santa who was finishing up work before mounting that sleigh for the yearly trip down our chimneys.
These cars come mounted on the plinth with a triangular screw. Fortunately I do have a triangular screw driver.

Grey seems to be a popular color for these petits voitures! Here are my Tekno and Vilmer from back in the day...
Notice that the Tekno (in light grey) used the unique wheels of the 4CV! Tres bien!

Those are very interesting little models, Karl. I remember having a Tekno VW and a Tekno Mercedes 180 as a kid. For the time, those Tekno models like your 4CV were quite good. Is the Vilmer one a survivor of your childhood?

Worked in a small 2 bay foreign car garage back in the mid 60s and saw a few of these little buggers rattling around. Always thought them to be awww,so cute,…..though not really the best built cars,and ya sure wouldn’t want to get in an accident with any real American behemoths lol.

Is the Vilmer one a survivor of your childhood?
I was more of a Tekno kid and never bought Vilmer until much later in life. So I have had the grey one for only 35 years... 😯 The 4 Vilmer cars are very rare so I do not have a minty one...

The Tekno came in blue too with those oh-so-French yellow headlights.
The Alpine A106 was based on the 4CV - this is an original CIJ.
4CVs even ran at Le Mans. I have an Ixo version but no pic yet.

Those Tekno models were very nice for their day. Those two are in beautiful shape for models of that vintage!

@david-knight Nicely done David! BTW, the Alpine A106 is a CIJ diecast. I got it at a swapmeet I attended in the UK in 1981.
