Dinky Toys by Dominique Pascal, sadly all in French. but chock full of color photos. It covers many of the prewar Dinkys plus just about all postwar models up to around the early 1970s, both French and British issues. The book is arranged alphabetically by real vehicle manufacturer so, for example. all the Buicks are in one place. This is the 2018 reprint, with a heavy soft cover. Even the few Hong Kong models from the 1960s are in there.

I have not gone over every page yet, but there are a few omissions and inaccuracies, as can be expected when compiling a 447-page book.  Many prewar issues aren't there, like the 25-series lorries. Also certain US issues, like the 129 MG TF and 675 Ford US Army staff car received no mention. I haven't read far enough to see if the holy grail South African variants are mentioned either. But it does include a lot of info about each 1:1 vehicle manufacturer, and I've already learned a few things I did not know before.

Nice book Garv. I have a small British soft cover with the same picture on the front but certainly not with 447 pages. Looks like a fantastic reference tool once you master the French.

My go to book is Dinky Toys & MODELLED MINIATURES by Mike and Sur Richardson. This came out in 1981 and has gone through several reprints. 309 pages. Excellent but also with omissions.

@david-green I have that one too David, along with the Gibson bible on the topic and Roulet's French Dinky book. My Richardson book has something special inside.

@karl Mine looks like this. I think it's an earlier version. Seems like Pascal liked Roulet's cover.
