The "GM Five for '58" included real chrome-highlighted dreamboats from every division to celebrate General Motor's 50th anniversary. Among the coolest were the Buicks for that year. Here is a Special as done in 1/43 by Vitesse.

I have one of those. That's a great model. Their '59 Chevy is another.

@bob-jackman And there was a nice transkit for these as well.  Here is the station wagon by Kagar.  In 1:1  there was a Century Caballero, a Special Riviera and a Special Estate Wagon which was with B pillars, the others were hardtop style and all were conversions of sedans or hardtops by Ionia Manufacturing in Ionia Michigan.   I would love to see more transkits produced.  American cars have so many body styles that could be made.

This was a model I overlooked until recently. The Special Convertible is very nice and for the price, quite exceptional.

Brilliant photos as always, I really enjoy the different settings you place these models into.

Thank you, John ! Your huge photo catalog of the varied collection you have constitutes a standard of clear images of great models.
