[Closed] PICS - 1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner by Motorhead Miniatures

Nice model but could use whitewalls. Be extremely careful of the gun-sights on the front fenders, very delicate.

I'm surprised. There are a lot of very nice touches in this model.

The fender sights, PE wipers, dual mirrors, nice trim and badging, even a rearview mirror. It looks great. But, IMO, it would look even better with whitewalls. A curious decision.

Miniatures, but I don't know anything about the company, unless it is primarily a 1:18 manufacturer. I have seen some interesting figures in that scale by the same name. Any information?

[PICS] I added whitewalls to mine.

Stick-on decals. Maybe a touch too wide, but they make a big difference to the look of the model, which is otherwise very nicely done, my main complaint (apart from the lack of whitewalls) being that the "chromed" area behind the rear wheels is just a rather grey-ish silver paint rather than ribbed chrome. They applied some neatly done BMF-type chrome for the rest of the brightwork and should have applied it there as well. (Work of a moment for any keen modeller to correct that.)

Motorhead mainly do 1:18 scale figurines. They produced a small range of models under the "Genuine Ford Parts" label but they seem to have given up on them.

It's Drew Heitner's brand. He was behind Luxury Collectibles, too.

He is also the distributor for many brands, like AutoWorld, M2, and many other.

I have a yellow Sunliner like Graeme's, and the '63 T-Bird Sports Roadster in white.

Agree it's a lovely model, but never have I seen one so crying out for a decent set of tyres. I swapped with a suitable set of whitewalls too.
