Pics. A tour in GLM's gorgeous 1959 Broadmoor.

Just unboxing my latest Cadillac family member. And what a beauty!. GLM is doing a great work here with this historical Cadillac. The overall proportions, the glossy paint, the attention to interior's details are very good. The front arch wheel is chromed now compares to the first sample seen on their website. Perfect !. Also a pair of wings have been added around the hood visors, just above the headlights. I am not crazy about the accuracy and the position of those hood visors though... My only comments less positive is that the grille on the bumper sides are missing. ( vertical divisons ) I had to create them. The outer parts of the taillights, in the rear bumper, aren't red like they should. And, not an issue but just a matter of taste, the white walls are narrower than the samples so again I've added some wider. Now I am sure their next to come 1956 broadmoor should be as beautiful as this one. Great car, great model.

I just wonder. Was that really a full size car in real life?

And what purpose did it serve? Seriously. In black it looks very morbid. I know GM would sell Cadillac bodies to anyone with the money back then but isn't this kind of an ostentatious airport limo? It even looks like it should have a Chevy for a tug boat. Of course there's the old saying if it won't fit in your garage it's not for you.

Hello Don, it's about 21 feet long. Here's a link to explain the purpose of that Cadillac.

Couldn't get that link sorry.

and I really don't go to every link folks send me to. I'm old fashioned and like explanations from you. Why would you like a red and white hearse? I wish I had gone to school and put links on all my tests for the teacher to look up the answer if she asked it. Wouldn't that be cool?

Don, I just finished the article and it's a good tale of the Broadmoor resort hotel and their history with Cadillac. Good pictures, too. But this model just doesn't quite fit my interests. Thanks for the good pictures, Jean.

Don, IMHO, that was a rude response. This is the 21st century and "limks" and web pages are now the norm. I agree that you should not click on every link that you receive, however, when you are dealing with individuals known to you in some fashion, the risk is less.

If you are uninformed about a particular subject in 1:43 or Cadillac in particular, this is the place for accurate information.

Try not to be so rude.

Sorry to offend you Lloyd and I apologize to any others who took my brand of humor as anything off color. I did get some response which I was hoping would come. Still think the Caddy wagon is a little eccentric. Around here they are for your last ride. Nice hotels order Buicks. Do you think they choose a Caddy for a bigger tip from the patrons?
