PICS An unfortunate color for a classic Packard? New from GLM.
I love Packards and really like this color but somehow they don't seem to work.

What are your thoughts?
"unfortunate color for a Packard" seems to describe my feelings as well.
I agree, that color looks awful on that car.
I agree. It's far too modern. A shot of grey in the mix and it might work.
I think I prefer this one: (pic)

But really IMHO I like the vast majority of Packards in just about any color. Well, I'm just as happy that Packard didn't copy this one from Dodge!

Powder blue? Too recessive...too feminine for a Packard.
They probably found an obscure pic of the only 1:1 resprayed in this color.
manufacturers sometimes forget to scale down a color...
So I think that's the case...
Although I would not choose this color anyhow....
Let's hope that is a manipulated photo and not a real color sample. Bad color for that car.
I built the Auto Replicas white-metal kit kit probably 40 years ago (had a multi-piece body since they couldn't cast anything that big at the time) and painted it EXACTLY that color so either GLM has my build story (unlikely) or there are good photos out there of ome that color.
This one's OK with me. I'd take this beautiful Packard in just about any color.
Yep, I also built the Auto Replicars kit of the Packard V12 during the extremely hot summer of 1976 and painted it a light grey, but it was a bit of a devil to assemble because of all the many body parts...but it turned out OK eventually.
