Dick, I bet some folks don't know - Gene was your predecessor as Forum Moderator, what 10 years ago?
PIC - Fred, splendid work bringing this model to a new level! Here's a top up version of the '53 again, with not as much detail as your example. That PMI packaging sure was attractive in "The Day".

That was short-lived following a dispute I had with Olins & Knab.
Actually it was Gene's former partner, Alan Novak, who convinced them to put me back on board. Gene was an inactive moderator but remains a friend.
PM/MOC 52 Lincolns
Hi John; Although you might find a 53 Lincoln by MOC or PM very few 52's seem to have been made even back in the day which is why I made my own. I only have one that I did not sell but it stays in my collection. Good luck in your hunt for one.
John,If you find a 53 Lincoln ,I can make a 52.
52 Lincoln
Hi Greg; If you make John a 52 car I just wanted to tell you the reason I did not put the hood ornament on the ones I made. Early Ford advertisment showed the car without a hood ornament even though later ads and cars had them. So it is a preference which way to go.
John. There is a 53 Lincoln on E-Bay right now The Item # is 322296370724.It is a PM model with the original box.It is over=priced as well as just about everything else he has.Maybe you can make a deal with him.I have the Grill piece to make it a 52 and can make it a Conv.if you like.
I didn't realize that Gene was interim for you. How many years have you been moderator?
Greg, you're not going to believe it - I bought my first PMI Lincoln from you in April, 2002 and in the Day it was just over $150. It was a nice model, since sold or traded. Prices for this model have certainly fluctuated. Not too long ago I picked up a rarer top up convertible version for around $80, I recall (it was a nice amateur or pro build from a kit).
What do you think one of the 2dr hardtop coupes should cost in today's market?
I was moderator when 1:18 & 1:43 shared one forum.
It was my idea to separate them. That was back in the days that Franklin & Danbury Mints totally dominated the diecast.org website. I used to have to fight off the FM fans who thought that their models were the very best 1:43's, despite the enormous shutlines. If it did not open, they did not want it.
"If it did not open, they did not want it." - Brilliant summary!
Randall,About 125.00 but you never know.I saw ----- some of my models recently listed on Ebay from a long time ago From about 20 years ago and it brought back many memories.I made a PM 52 Lincoln in to a convertible top up and it brought good money.Top Up's seem to be the popular thing now especially with M/C models.
Yes, I tend to prefer the top ups for some reason except for my real cars, if you have a convertible then top down is the way to go!
Fred,Isn't that a strange option?.I noticed that too.
A convertible makes sense in your good weather. I had my SLK open all day yesterday.
We had a balmy October day in the 80's(F) around Atlanta.
