I would have bought one of each color of this model if it weren't for the windshield issue. Still a very handsome model though.

Funny thing. I guess I am not as observant, because until you mentioned this-I did not notice that.
The beautiful execution of the models is going allow me to look pass that frame. Since this is the only '56 Imperial available, I very happy to have it.

Thanks for posting, John. I have the Mediterranean Blue version and I love it. Also GLM's Imperial limousine is great, too.

I'm a little disappointed about the side door handles, misplaced and rear trim chrome window
It seem that right doorhandle and left doorhandle are in different position.. Plus the trim rear window bad bend on the side...

PIC: I think they tried to be accurate with the windshield frame.
I have a green one. In hand, it doesn't look as bad as the photographs show. But, the frame on the 1:1 is a bit cumbersome. Whenever I see a picture of a 1:1 now, the frame looks oversize to me as well.

The overall image of the model more than compensates for that IMO.
I just really like it in all its color variations, and I'm pretty critical.

Metallic charcoal roof.
I also have the 'Desert Rose' version. - It seems the chrome windshield frame is less intrusive with the metallic gray roof. JMHO.
