This is a very nicely done deep blue Jaguar XK-150 done by Dinky some years ago. I got mine at a great price at a Tuesday Morning bargain shop quite a while back. It is a good-looking replica and it features pretty extensive packaging.

Great information on these Dinky/Matchbox replicas, Karl ! That Jaguar XK-150 is pretty cool, as are the other 3 vehicles. It is interesting you got the same one at that store and that TM seem to have gotten a number of these models to offer in their stores.

The Tuesday Morning stores in our area have gone out of business. For years I would check them out and would occasionally find a model car or two.

Here are a couple more of these Matchbox Dinky DY36 Jaguar XK150s.

First the prototype which became the first mail order issue with slight changes (licence plate?)

DY36 Pre production Jaguar XK150 this trial colour is in lighter cream body with dark red seats and dash, silver and black dials with trial numberplate decals

Here is my favourite version in yellow.

I prefer the Oxford version. The w/s on the MB seems too low, or the folded top too high, or both.

@mg-harv I agree Harv; Oxford did a great job on this Jag and IMO it is very good value for money spent.

Keep in mind there were two soft top Jaguar XK150s.  One was a roadster (known in Jaguar land as a OTS open top sports)  with a simpler non headliner top and one was a drophead coupe with a fully lined top.  The Oxford version is a roadster and the Matchbox is a DHC. The DHC cars had very small back seats, none on the roadsters.  By the time the XK150 was launched both had wind up windows but the roadster had no quarter windows.  The more complex DHC cars had the bulkier top stack when down.

As a Jaguar collector, I feel that you need both the Oxford and Matchbox/Dinky versions in your collection. I do along with many other brands. Not sure where to stop.
