@john-quilter Yes John I certainly do know all about The Empress Hotel and other such landmarks as in 1952 I was born 2 blocks from it, raised in Victoria and worked there for my entire career. My second career of 15 years was spent at the British Columbia Legislature across the street from the Empress. I also spent my first wedding night at the Empress in 1976. Small world. Here is a pic of The Empress Hotel (1 & 2) and British Columbia Legislature (3 & 4), situated on the Victoria harbor.
