Pics: Minichamps 1965 Mercedes 300 SE Long Wheelbase

A while back, Minichamps did this Mercedes W112 designated the 300 SE Lang (long wheelbase). The rear doors were widened to allow for more back seat legroom than was in the 220 SE.

I love this body style of the W111 and W112 sedans. When I met my future wife in the summer of 1968, her grandparents had a W111 in dark brown, gorgeous motor car!

PIC - David - really like these "Fintail, Finback, Heckflosse" M-B's. Spark made a nice 220SE...

Sorry for the fuzzy photo. It is one of my favorite diecast models. I also have the Minichamps predecessor "Ponton" which is as nicely done as your Minichamps.

Pics: Randy, nice Spark model Heckflosse. And here are some Pontons by Minichamps. These are the first Mercedes cars I remember.

David, those are great! Minichamps does a nice job. My local model shop (Boy, how many people can say that these days of the internet?) had the 2-tone model you picture. I was able to snag it for a song because the ride height was uneven. This was quickly solved by removing the chassis and merely realigning it. Careful with those hood ornaments! They are very delicate (and impressive).

Looks good, The closest I have to this style is a '59 version. I might have to consider one of these
