I think it was Will Shakespeare who said that. Or maybe it was Dolly Parton. I forget.
Anyway, the Italian magazine Piccolegrandiruote has a set of photos from Nuremberg which includes a proper close-up of the 1960 De Soto Adventurer by Kess Models.

Well actually, I'm not sure about the 2-tone fluorescent green effect, but that may just be the photo. The one I really want is the white over red, also on display at the show alongside a '57 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. (And why some idiot thought a mere Caddy should be in the foreground beats me, but there you are).

The bad news is that the Kess website has no mention of it at all, not even in the "Coming Soon"section. All they show is the Caddy and the '78 Ford and Mercury wagons, which of course are nice enough in their way, but please, please, don't let them cancel the De Soto, which certainly looks production-ready. I e-mailed them yesterday saying "When, please? Quando, per favore?" but no response so far.

John the stripe is rite size (Width) but it needs to be further from the wheel Read the wsw needs to be a larger diameter. I owned one of these a 58 and the tires were special made for the car the width was half of an inch wide (Maybe 5/8th's of an inch but narrower than any other white walls offered at the time) and between the high point of the sidewall and the wheel rim closer to that imaginary high point. They were unusual tires to say the least.
