Pics: With all the attention to Tuckers lately I finally ordered a Waltz Blue one.
I thought I'd better get one to go with my movie memorabilia. Back in '87 I spent nine days on the set as an extra and finally got a small bit part as Mr. Bennington's, Tuckers Vice President, executive assistant.I got chosen from about 6 guys for the bit part. Mr. Coppola chose me because he said I had a tough guy look. I'm exactly half way through the movie shutting a door in a couple guys faces, I have digressed. It was a lot of fun. Anyway I thought that I'd post some photos I took on set. I can't remember but I think we had 28 real Tuckers including Frances Coppola's and a few fiberglass ones used for an endurance test that got rolled.

Tucker movie pics
Since I am such a Tucker fan, I loved your photos from the movie. I have the movie, so I will have to run it and look for you. It must be the scene where Preston's wife (Joan Allen) confronts the executives in the conference room. Jeff Bridges was great in that role, as well as Martin Landau. I have something from the movie I will photograph and post in the next couple of days. One of my favorite things I have collected, beside by radio head.

That was a great experience Curtis. And Mrs Tucker preferred the
Waltz Blue also. When I was five (and already a car guy) my Dad took me to the showing at the Chicago Tucker plant. (He got invited because he was a doctor and owned a Cadillac) Some say I was that kid on that guys shoulders who was so squirmy. I don't remember that far back. But I did not like the headlight in the middle on the front. And so Dad did not order a Tucker. Much later on I joined the Tucker Owners Club and built and painted models for club members. And finally got a ride in a real one! And this guy owned the Cord mansion in Auburn IN. Nuff said.
