PIX - Replicas of 1961 and 1962 Chevrolets never done in 1:43

I am probably not the only guy thrilled that Sergio Goldvarg is introducing the gorgeous '61 Impala "Bubbletop" 2dr Hardtop in the coming months.

His is an ambitious schedule of new models, most never seen before in 1:43. I know folks want him to tackle other subjects as well, there apparently being a pent up demand for early '60's GM product and many others.

In the event Sergio wishes to get more use from his Chevy patterns, here are more potential versions of:

- '62 Chevrolet semi-bubbletop (a lower line Bel-Air) often used as a drag car base with the 409 mill sandwiched into the engine bay
- '61 Impala 4 dr hardtop
- '61 Biscayne 2dr sedan with a Vista-type rear window. I think this was only a one or two-year design and rare today.

These are 1:25 Modelhaus and Revell resin and polystyrene versions I had a few years back. Sure would look good in 1:43!

Randy, I heartily agree with you about the ‘61-‘62 Chevrolets.

I believe the vista roofs were only offered on the ?61 models. As one who likes an occasional entry level model, I would love to see a ?61 Biscayne 2 door just like the one shown in your pictures. Great photos to whet our appetites!

Any and all 1961 and 1962 Chevrolets would be great.

Those were such good years for Chevy styling. I would prefer Sport Sedans like the turquoise and white 1961 you show. But I would likely buy correctly executed examples of all body styles and both years.

If I could select special ones just for me, I would have a 1961 Bel Air Sport Sedan, a triple yellow 1962 Impala Sport Sedan, and the car that almost every GM family in the US had, a white with black or red stripe insert 1962 Impala Sport Sedan.

I would love to see the '62, '63 & 64 2drht. Impalas done by Goldvarg; I think they would sell very well indeed. Convertible variations as well. The bubble tops would be great to see too. I know Kess has done the '63 4drht. (Goldvarg quality is much better) but that's about it in quality 1:43 to my knowledge. The same era of Pontiac would be equally successful IMO; which I suspect will be evident when the '61 2drht. and '64 Grand Prix is released by Sergio.

I would definitely be interested in all of them from 1961 to 1964.

Impala sport sedans, convertibles or coupes, Bel Air in any body style and even the Biscayne.
I love everything about those years and they would be perfect.

61 - 64 Chevys

While several collectors want more variant of these models, us Ford fans would be thankful for any 1962 or1965 Ford.

I agree completely. '62 thru '67 Fords for me..would buy them all.

Would love to see Squire wagons done of these years too.

61 Bubble Top Impala

Hi Guys,

What about the Brooklin 61 Impala? I am working on the 409 version as stock since the skirts are already removed. It is aqua. I will post when completed.

PIC - Here's one I had that was well-detailed

I can't recall who did the work. I owned it several years ago. It is a nice casting but had much detail cast into them body whereas Brooklin now uses separate parts such as wipers and door handles.

61 Bubble Top Impala

Randy, looks very good. I prefer no skirts. That's why I got the 409 version, not only no skirts, but has additional chrome detail pieces such as wipers, fender ornaments, door handles, and leading edge chrome side spear. Also, the original has the bumper guards that 409 does not have and I am swapping them to the one I am working on. Hope to post a photo soon!
