I just posted an item about some old Esdo models, which may be of no interest to you, but it mentions in passing the latest issue in the DeAgostini "American Cars" series, a first-generation Pontiac Fiero. I didn't know this model was in the offing, but it looks pretty good - crisp and well-detailed.

The real Fiero may not have been the success they hoped for, having turned into a production nightmare with ill-fitting plastic body panels and apparently a tendency for cars to catch fire with some regularity, but in an age of 3 ton, 19 foot long barges it was quite a neat little thing and probably quite fun to drive, provided you had a set of fireproof Nomex overalls just to be on the safe side.

Well, that link found it.   It's more of a fast back version than the better quality one in white Graeme pictured.
