As a brand, Porsche began in 1948. Tomorrow, there will be a big celebration at the Knoxville dealership, and I secured a spot in the car "corral". More on that after I attend. And, coincidentally, Le Mans is tomorrow too. I think the dealer will have one or more large screens for the attendees, since Porsche is in the hunt again for the overall win.

I have now gone over 300 examples in my collection. Here's my 299th and 300th, both 917s by Spark that DNF'd at the Sarthe in 1969.

Nice collection of Porsche models. The one with the wind-up key is definitely something different. Who made that model, and does it still run well?

@ed-davis Ed, that's an old Schuco windup toy, quite close to 1:43. And it still works!
