In a recent thread in The Lounge (which shall be nameless but which changed the course of human culture forever and led to a radical re-definition of the term "compos mentis") you posted pics of two models.
I have various models of the BMW Isetta in 1:43 but not with the opening front, which is kind of fun. Who did it? (I have a vague memory that someone - it may have been Harvey G. - posted a photo of it a very long time ago but I didn't note the maker's name at the time.)
The second one is maybe a Subaru 360? Again I have a model of it but not with opening parts. Maker?
Maybe both models are long obsolete and unobtainable but I'd just be interested to know. Thanks.
(If JB doesn't happen to spot this query maybe someone else has the answers?)

I'd be interested in the Isetta as well.

hey Graeme......The mini (micro) times I`ve posted these pups have mostly been in the 24 forums, where I was coerced to lie about their size to get them admitted (admired) and the big kids over in the 18 forums impose a four thousand dollar initial NIB price for the wondrous specimens that gain acceptance on their pages
with the aid of slippin` Jimmy, I have passed them off to kids with overlarge heads, as luxurious European Sedans of an unusual size
they are an adequate size for transporting produce, but susceptible to rampant pilferage
when the question from true 1/18 figures invariably surfaces: "does this car make me look fat?"...it`s always a resounding "YES!"....English people in Bowlers have been known to scoff at them openly
for you see Graeme.......these are NOT 1/43 scale......they are both 1/18th in scale and were both marketed by Revell
Revell Metal Goggomobil T250 1/18
Revell BMW ISETTA 250 1:18
Ah, right. What a shame.
But at least I will be spared any temptation to go searching on eBay and paying five-figure sums (plus shipping) for long-discontinued 1:43 rarities.

I have but one comment on that revelation...

@jkuvakas ............eventually,the burden of defying the scales of justice was the deciding factor that led Herb and Irene to hitch up the old Airstream............they would head out to Herb`s duck camp and put their children in a different school first thing Monday

I think public interest in the blue Isetta really took off when The Blue Aqua Velva Gang did that ad endorsing it as their getaway car of choice, claiming they had sold their redundant steeds to the dog food factory.

It's all about brand recognition JayBee. We called it "Sure Score" back in my late teens. Splash on some Blue Aqua Velva and you become **Make Out Man. The green version was for geeks.
