A more realistic look can be obtained by adding clear headlight lenses to any model using clear epoxy such as JB Weld Clearweld. To ensure that both lenses are the same diameter use a flathead nail the exact diameter of the lens that you want to make. Place the nail in  secure tweezers and place a small amount of mixed epoxy on the head of the nail using a toothpick. Provided you do not use too much epoxy, it will form to the exact size of the nail head. If you use too much epoxy, the lens may become too high. Once the epoxy has dried (I wait 24 hrs) use an exacto knife to carefully cut the lease from the nail head. If you use white glue to attach the lease to the car, you will create a slight milky effect in the lense which I prefer. It allows the lens to stand out much better.

To make double lenses, try cutting a small pieces of aluminum tubing in the size of the headlight bezels, glue them to a cut piece of metal (use a piece of peanut can lid as per Quick tip #1) filed to shape. When dry, fill them with the epoxy.

And if the nail head has a pattern, that would provide some lens fluting. Great tip!
