Nice find! There's an auction house that does white metal in IN???
@karl Mostly train stuff with occasional Corgi, Dinky, etc. This appears to have been a unique event.
4 cars, I'd call that haul a Grand Slam Home Run!

Congratulations, Harv. The Hudson all by itself would be a fine addition to any collection. Great!

Harv, that is a nice haul. I too have had some success with the lesser known auction houses. Some astute collectors apparently watch these and it sure is possible to pick up terrific deals. As for lack of success, I try not to think about the auctions that I lost out on but there were a few including a massive Motor City USA collection that had many woodies that went for pennies on the dollar. On that one, I bid too low. Then there were a few that I missed completely because I was unaware of them. I have found that LiveAuctioneers has a large number of auction houses and occasionally by searching on the right subject, one can find a deal. However, one needs to consider the additional costs such as buyer premiums in excee of 20% plus shipping.
Harv, I have a question about the Edsel. Buz still has a 1959 Edsel closed convertible, which I have thought about buying. I suspect this is from older tooling, and might lack the sharpness of detail of newer models. If you were doing a "My Take" video, how would you score this model?
Anyone else's comments are also welcome.

@randall-olson I think I know the auction you are talking about, it was on Vectis a number of years ago. I missed that one completely. And yes, when bidding one has to keep in mind the fees, packing charges, and shipping. Additionally, when bidding at a UK auction house, the exchange rate comes into play too. The US dollar has been dropping against the pound, so old Dinkies in mint boxed condition are becoming even more dear.
@ed-davis I saw the one on his website and it's the same WMCE model, only top up. It's a nice model, but as has been pointed out to me several times, the rear side chrome displays very slight indentations for a previous 4-door Corsair. I held off a number of times getting a WMCE 22, but when this one presented itself at roughly 75% of retail, I decided I'll never find another '59 for some time to come and went for it.
Harv, I sure agree with your decision to get the Edsel as it is rare and I expect will remain so. Good eye for catching the "residue" from the conversion of the sedan to the convertible. From your photos, everything else looks nicely done.
