Randy, I love the pics you post of your wheel swaps.
I check in often for them, and am delighted when you post them.
Thank You Benjamin. For my enjoyment and yours I will continue lol !
Randy, I guess I'm about to talk out of both sides of my mouth when I say that the job you did on the A/E Ford pickup by jacking it up and putting on oversized tires was terrific and I also liked the aftermarket wheels you put on the A/E Torino looked good. Maybe it's because these are newer model years as opposed to a 1947 Chevrolet. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not 100% against wheel swaps on some vehicles. As to resources for wheels and tires, since both Durham and Brooklin have done some hot rods and custom cars over the years, it would seem like it might be worth contacting them to see if they might have an interest in supplying them for you.
Bob, See we are on the same page after all lol ! As for getting custom wheels...........
from Brooklin, Durham, and SMTS I have emailed them all asking to be able to buy custom wheels and tires they may have used on there models and none of them were willing to sell them. SMTS never even answered my email. I have done pretty well just scouring diecast models and even junker Brooklin rod models and taking the wheels off of them and using them. I am always looking lol ! Thanks Bob, RANDY
