A nice car to add to your new adventure would be a 1961 Singer Vogue. In Northern Rhodesia, my dad had a two-tone green one, with green leather upholstery and I remember it fondly. But sadly I've not found a white metal version yet. British cars can be quite rewarding.
Charles, Not sure this is what you are looking for but do an Ebay search for Singer Vogue and a number will come up including some estates. I'm guessing they are resin and noted as BMH items which I think stands for British Motor Heritage. I have some of the BMH items and they are quite well done. There is even a green one or a two tone green estate.
@john-quilter Thank-you John. British Heritage Models - run by a very nice guy called Frank Jones, whom I believe has his own models produced in China as well as commissioning particular colours of ACT Rolls Royce, for his brand. They come in super-luxe acrylic showcases, smart card boxes with flip top held by petersham ribbon and a monogramed slip-case. I bought about six Rolls from him about ten years ago, some of which I am very happy with whilst others, some of the detail can look a bit chunky. But at £90 they are fantastic models! I have a James Young Silver Cloud, a Hooper Silver Wraith and the Chapron Phantom V that can all hold their own visually with Chromes Models.
