And one more vote for white/ivory over fawn

Green as per the example shown. The fawn, if chosen, would need a white roof for contrast to liven it up.
I believe the green shown is actually Seamist Turquoise. Beautiful.
I think the two tone with white top in Sergio's 1:1 photo is what we're all plus-ing
Jack, if you want an official color combination in which it would look even more attractive, I think, Fawn Beige was coupled with Almond Beige (on the roof), not Ermine White.
In 2 tone combinations, only Twilight Turquoise, Seafoam Green, Black and Roman Red models had a white roof
Ah, okay....thanks; it did appear white to me.

The combo from Sergio's above pic is popular and looks great, but isnt authentic for 1961?
Judging by the PPG color chart as shown on my little laptop there may not be much contrast between Almond Beige and Fawn Beige, IMHO
As for a Green version of this Impala, there is currently a spectacular Seafoam Green / Ermine white for sale on ClassicCars.com for a cool 45K.
I may be changing my vote....
Fawn beige looks quite a bit darker than almond beige to me.
There may not be much contrast between Fawn Beige and
Almond Beige, but this is an Official color combination, and there is still a bit of contrast between these two colors. Chevrolet has officially combined Fawn Beige to Almond Beige, but not to Ermine White. Have just checked that!
Notice how much nicer the car looks without the bumper overriders.
Solid Fawn or Almond would work too, and leave the 2 tone to Seafoam Green.
I'm a stickler for authenticity in my collection as well.
And Alex, didn't the 1961 Chevys have body colored wheels? That would be a sharp-looking touch, and shouldn't be hard to include in the finished model.
I have to say that the fawn metallic may be too understated in 1:43;
even with a contrasting lighter color. Most of the other options are much more lively looking. One man's opinion.
