Here is the 5pm US Eastern time spaghetti map for Milton... Greenville is just now recovering from Helene, but Asheville and WNC will not be back for months and months (our friends have no water or power still). And now Milton is hitting the Tampa AREA very soon.

And we have at least three folks in Miltons' path right now:
Joe, Paul, and Ed - please be safe, and I will be praying for you. Let us know whenever you get a chance.
For those of you affected by the hurricanes, we wish you the best.

Thanks, Karl and Ed. At this writing, Milton made landfall at Siesta Key near Sarasota. The Orlando TV stations say there were 98 tornado warnings in Central Florida today. We're currently in a flash flood warning, and we're going to get a lot of wind through at least overnight. Still have power. Fingers crossed.
I am sad for the members who made the decision to stay in the path of this hurricane. It was already forecasted to be one of the worst in decades with aftermath devastating floodings. Hope they can stay safe.
My prayers are with our fellow collectors and everyone in the path of this storm.
It's morning, and we're safe here. Lots of wind and rain last night, lost power for a couple of hours, lots of little branches down but nothing major. Feeling lucky and thankful.

Thanks to all of you. No power, but we're fine, our condo is fine, and I believe my car is too. We had flooding throughout our complex, but no more than several inches. The weather now is beautiful, the first cool weather since May.

Ed, I know you're a little ways from Indian Rocks Beach, but I'm wondering if you know anything about the Great Heron Inn and Keegan's Seafood Grille. Great Heron Inn is right on the beach and Keegan's is just across the street at 16th St., and we're afraid that, after 2 hurricanes, they've been leveled.
I don't know, but Helene would have likely been worse than Milton. I'm sorry to say I'm doubtful they're ok.
P.S. we have power now, amazingly.
Edit: I did some Facebook searches and I think you might have reason to be optimistic, although both are going to take time to get back in shape. They seem not to be giving up.
