@graeme-ogg That is a great idea Graeme and much easier and less risky than "surgery" on a delicate trim piece.

OK dudes.... here's my 2 cents:

1) Great model! A must for Cadillac collectors and I predict GLM/Stamp will have a "positive"  sell through. 😀 😎

2) The tires are a bit too small, and the whitewalls are a bit too big B E C A U S E I suspect GLM/Stamp replicated MODERN radial whitewalls and NOT (larger ) factory bias-ply tires. See pics. But only 10 guys on earth (including me ) even noticed or care. 🙄

3) Lastly, that top thin chrome trim-strip (under the roof ) should NOT be there at all IF the windows are rolled down. Only the bottom trim should be there (with a separation line ). See pics.

Thanks Chris ! I thought there was something else that looked a little bit off and I couldn't quite put my finger on it but then again I didn't dwell on it for very long.

No doubt about it though it is a beautiful model and if I was still into collecting 1/43rd scale that would be high on the top of my list.

@100ford2003, my apologies. I should have designated the recipient. It was aimed at "white-metal is in the past" and how those collectors are missing out.

Hi Mr.K,

Thank-you for your apology but no harm, no foul. I didn't really think that it was something that I said but then again I figured I better cover my butt LOL. Thinking about it after a while I thought it might have been a comment that was made and then removed by a moderator.

I think the problem can be that it no longer becomes an enjoyable hobby but a case of "Well, I can find such and such wrong with a particular thing or a material" ............ (based on an internet image and not even seeing the model automobiles in person.)

And it can be an issue of claiming that, "I found 3 'mistakes' and you only 'found' one !" ! So they 'win' !

It is supposed to be an enjoyable hobby and a positive collecting experience in general.

@mikedetorrice

I agree with you. I have seen the same types of criticism for small detail errors or omissions with model trains and airplanes. I have learned to ignore a lot of this. I want to enjoy the models and the friendship of the people.

White metal vs resin, both are nice.

@mikedetorrice If there is any mistakes I didn't catch them. Overall, I am still very happy with the model for what it represents. For those who are hyper critical, they just have to pass on this one if it doesn't meet their standards and wait for a metal one to see if it will be better.

My comment was in no way to be rude to those who only collect metal models but just to mention they are missing on a very nice model by not considering it. If I deserve to be censored for my words, so be it.

I wasn't trying to point out a mistake... I was just asking for further clarification about the model. I give it a 99.99% score for its detail and representation.

I think nearly anyone would be delighted with this beautiful automobile in their collection. The color is gorgeous. And after all, it IS a Cadillac !
