Just arrived today, so I thought I would get my pics in before one of the Johns does. This is definitely 'poly' and the metallic effect is nicely close to scale. Perhaps one of our experts can define if De Ville, Deville, or de Ville was used in 1958 - the internet seems to be all over the place on this. I really wish that one bit of trim along the front fender had a chrome (vs. silver) appearance, but I'm too cautious to try bmf on a model of which only 80 were made. Mine is No. 67.
The color is strikingly similar to that of the 1959 in Wood Rose Poly, but is a tad more brownish. Here's a side-by-side:
Once again, both color sheets in the Auto Color Library seem more lilac-ish to my eyes - is it me or is the ACL scan off a bit?
Finally, not in our scale, but here's the old Matchbox, definitely lilac, with a pink roof to boot.

It looks magnificent. I expect mine soon.
@jkuvakas As usual, it came from Burbank. And thanks for the original ad - I expect there was no difference whether the Cadillac chosen was a coupe or sedan. And it looks like Meridian Taupe was in that ad.
Very cool '58 and I love the '59 as well. My '58 should be here by Friday.

It looks excellent ! I also have the Matchbox 1958 Cadillac, as well as the Yat Ming '58 Cadillac convertible. These were all part of "GM's Five For '58" line up.
