"All the chrome trim is foiled and there is no silver paint at all."
That's awesome Rich, especially on THIS car! 😀 😎 There's only 2 issues I have:
1) The dark tint on '58 windshields did not include "dots." In fact, I don't believe any 1950's American car had "dots," plenty of fade & tint, but no "dots."
2) The rear glass is too short - it should extend much further back; I'm not sure why that wasn't tooled properly. 🤔 🤨
Otherwise - it's a pretty cool model. My Dad had a '58 SDV. 😀 😀

Dang it Chris, you are always on top of your game 👍
@chris You are right in your observations but I am not aware of any other manufacturer who has done a better replica of the 1958 60S and I needed one in my collection.
As for the black dots on upper windshields, they are called frits. They prevent from warping.

Correct, but they were not used in the 1950's - only "dark tint" was unitized. Again, it's a great model, "dots" are better than nothing, right? Afterall, how many 1/43 models even have any tint? 😉
"Dang it Chris, you are always on top of your game..."
Not really.... I know "stupid stuff like this" because I've owned these cars - I've looked through "wrap-around-tint." You probably have too... 😉 😉
@nickies HA! Yeah, I know what I am.... you don't have to allude to the obvious. Like I've said, I can drive anyone nuts - including myself.
@chris You're basically The Bureau Of USEFUL Information Chris; we learn a lot from you....plus I hear you build a model or two?
@100ford2003 Really? You were never in a 1950's car and looked up at the horizontal band of dark "tint" (reinforcement) going across the windshield?

I'd never heard to it referred that way. Sure I've seen it 👍
