..... We don't vote on any models but let's share what we believe has been our best model addition to our collections.

For 2025, I have one that got over the top for details, accuracy and craftmanship.

- Matrix 1939 Mercedes Benz 770K Cabriolet B.

The finely crafted scale photo-etched details deem this one a winner for sure - replicas like this foster assumptions that incrementally better & better 1/43 models await.  Can you imagine what they'll look like in 5, 10, 15 years?       Man-O-man!  😊 😊

That's a great model, Richard. Here's my choice, the EMC Bugatti Type 37B.

@jkuvakas ...yeah, one could make the case for that EMC to receive top honors - the ultra-fine details are spectacular.  There's no engine or wire lace,  like on this one shown below, but EMC's details are better rendered with greater precision.

Similar to JK's post, I would put this EMC Type 35B driven to 5th place in the 1928 Targa by Elizabeth Junek.

My best model addition for 2025 is the Motor City U.S.A. 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special in Seminole Red and Dover White (MC-202).  I purchased it from Jeff Lane at the March show in Countryside, Illinois.

@ed-davis It's a gorgeous model Ed - '59 Cadillacs are my favorites (I once owned a CDV ) - but IMO, the models above:  That Matrix '39 Mercedes and the EMC Bugattis exhibit greater fidelity.   This '59 FW has one small but conspicuous issue:   The wheelcovers are just a hair oversized.  😔

Spark, IMO, replicated better wheelcovers, but their whitewalls are too big.  😫 😫

FW 7

Outstanding background for a 1959 Cadillac.

@john-quilter The background is a house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in Oak Park, Illinois.

@mg-harv As we consider only new models issued in 2025, these Bugattis are also phenomenal. Resin models are clearly the future of excitement.

That 770K and those Bugatti's are marvelous!   I would nominate this new Kess Alfa Romeo -  their 1927 RL Supersport. The mesh guards on the headlights are nice, the windshield wiper motor is a cool detail as well. The hammer finish dash looks better with the naked eye.  The only downside is the red body - unpainted resin looks too plasticy in person.  But for  'mass produced' resin copy, it' not too shabby.

@karl If you look at the Matrix website, I believe the Mercedes has been nominated for some prize in Europe. This is in German language and I can't translate.
