In the latter half of 2021 I found three new/old Ford cabs for my collection.
The orange/black one is the 1951 Toronto Diamond Taxicab version (BRK 51a), one of 375 done for CTCS in 1996.
I got this 1940 Ford (USA-9) from a non-ebay auction site.
Finally, Motor City MC-23, a nicely done 1950 Ford, acquired quite reasonably. One detail on this one, not present on many cab models made from "civilian" cars is the meter box on the right side of the dash. I couldn't get a pic of the little p/e lever (painted red) attached to the box. Nice decal work on the back too.
These are great. I have three of the CTCS Diamond Taxis (which is what happens when you have your models in storage and don't maintain your stock list properly.....lesson learned! Lol). I love the other two and will try to find them.
I would like to have the 1950 Ford as a companion for my '40 Ford and '37 Chevy. There is one on the bay, but way to expensive - would cost me about 400.00 Euros incl. shipping and import tax.
Here is a quite rare Western Models '46 Ford cab which I found 5 years ago
I like these, Harv! Especially the '40 Ford. There are few taxis on my shelves, but one caught me eye. I also like Ralf's Ford, which is the taxi version of the first car my dad bought after the end of WW II; it stayed in the family for years.

I have never seen this model before; it's a beauty!
Also my dad's first car after WWII, bought used since he was in Japan with MacArthur for a year. It was nothing but trouble and was replaced with a spanking-new '49 Dodge Wayfarer with an almost-semi-automatic called "Fluid Drive". It stayed in the family for 13 years.
