The BMW 630 CS by Heller, another kit completed (pics)

Just a simple little plastic kit, 1:43 in scale, French (Heller) in origin. But this one I started along with my winter's cold, and both took a lot longer than normal to finish. Today both are about completed, and I give thanks.

I changed the color as the plastic's original blue just didn't have the metallic finish of the real thing. Besides, I was in the mood for a bright green.

A close-up of the Heller method of letting the wheels roll. The little blue tabs at the bottom are attached to the corresponding axle holders toward the top. That's 2 points per wheel. Now remember this is 1:43 scale. Whew!
And so it came together.

I keep telling myself that I build these models because it's fun, but sometimes I wonder. . . I think I'm going back to white metal for the next one.

Ah yes, it's far, far much better to have built than to never have tried at all. So if my hands stop shaking and I can find that paint I put somewhere........... oh darn it. Where'd I put the model? It was right here! Who turned off the light? Martha!

They're rather simple kits, but your skill in the build makes it a winner. And that driver looks pleased as Punch.
