China virus and the model industry
Today's Wall Street Journal has an article titled "Toy Industry Upended by China Virus". Since I would assume our models made in China are part of the "toy" industry I only wonder if we will be seeing delays on announced product launches and supply interruptions on existing items. What say our point man, Sergio Goldvarg, on this? Maybe any delays will give us time to replenish our bank accounts for future purchases? For reference the article is on page B10 of the Journal.

Not only is manufacturing affected ...
but shipping is almost at a standstill as well, with probably millions of containers stranded in port, and once things get moving again I expect priority will be given to catching up on the production and shipping of "strategic goods". Toy and model manufacture could be well down the list, so unless some of our eagerly awaited models are already in transit I imagine we can anticipate quite lengthy delays.
Yes, it would be interesting to hear what Sergio has to say about the delivery situation.
Oh, and I expect the arrival of the Kess 1960 De Soto could slip back by another 2 or 3 days at least.

Was Wuhan a transit city ?
I think you don't have to worry. The virus dies after some time on hard surfaces and it took days for your models to come.
It's still a very serious problem. Not for model delays of course but for everybody's safety all over the world.
I hope they'll found a vaccin as quickly as possible.

No, that eBay seller lives there. I'm not a 'nervous nellie' like so many...
I am well informed and while a pandemic appears a forgone conclusion by many medical professionals a product from the epicenter of the virus is not an issue. The virus can only live on hard surfaces for hours at most versus the 32 days transit time I seem to get when I make a purchase. However, I am not ordering anything going forward for a while.

first shipments for economic reasons. Our little models will probably be the last items out.
