Way back when, I really wasn't collecting 1/43s much. I did grab Great American Dream Machines concept cars when I could find them at shows. But this Motor City Design Studio Road and Customs 1949 Mercury lead sled was so beautifully well done with such a gorgeous finish, I just couldn't resist. I do have a decent number of their 1/24 models and this Merc is just as jewel-like as their larger scale models.

I'm not a huge custom car fan but do appreciate the work and skill that goes into making them. This model is particularly well done.

I like your 2 tone Merc. I have the same but in maroon only. Design Studios Ford is another one of my favourites.

It is a really attractive custom 1949 Mercury. This one definitely stands out !

@kenspear I have the Ford in overall maroon and the Mercury exactly like Rich's. Both models are prized in my collection along with the rest of my MOCs.

The Design Studio Hirohata Mercury - the most famous lead-sled Merc of them all.

Wow guys, ALL these 1/43 are nice! 😎 😎 😎 I'm still waiting for a 1/18 Hirohata. Like a quality 1/18 '57 Chevy hardtop, I'm equally SHOCKED no one has yet released a Hirohata in 1/18 scale. 🤔 🤨
