Two of my old Alfa Romeos are broken down so I had to acquire a couple tow trucks - i.e., a double double!

Mitica ALFA ROMEO A12 (F12) 1 SERIES 1967 TOW TRUCK 4
Mitica A12 (F12) 2 SERIES 1977 TOW TRUCK yellow red

Here are a few more views of the very nice Mitica (1/43, China, resin) Alfa Romeo A12 (F12) TOW TRUCK.  The red one is a 1sts series from 1967, and the yellow is a later 1977 series 2.  Mitica usually makes 1/18 scale cars, so it's very fun to see these in 1/43! The nomenclature is a bit odd - the A12 is the truck version and F12 is the van.  Maybe Mitica will make some vans!!!  The A12 was introduced in 1967 and used the Giulia (automobile) engine. A Perkins diesel was available after a few years, and they lasted until 1983!!!

Who knew Alfa made vans and truck?  Here are the high top versions! https://www.hagerty.co.uk/articles/buy-this-alfa-romeo-truck-get-a-fiat-topolino-free/ and https://cars.bonhams.com/auction/20145/lot/182/1972-alfa-romeo-a12-car-transporter-chassis-no-ar-996274/ and https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-alfa-romeo-a12-race-transporter/

Extremely nice, all of them ! Not only very interesting transporter vehicles, but the cars they are carrying are cool, too. These make for exceptional displays.

They look beautifully detailed along with the models loaded on them. What is the green model ? Is it by Solido ? I think I had one like that from the Los Angeles Auto Show in 1970 or so. I also got myself a dark blue de Tomaso Mangusta. Thanks for all your nice pics. I like that red Alfa.

These are nice looking transporters. Didn't realize Mitica did 1/43 scale. I have a couple of 1/18 scale from them which are very nice.

Yes, Solido (France) - Verem also redid it from the same molds...  The Carabo is my favorite concept car, I think.

Verem - Dinky - Tecnomoldel

Verem Alfa Carabo
Dinky Carabo
Tecnomodel Alfa Carabo

Spark

Spark Carabo

Luminescent metallic green is the correct color!

@karl Due to a rare shipping error by Burbank's HoH, Karl almost had three of these transporters, until he had to ship one of them to me! Smile

And Mitica is doing an Alfa van, although it's currently only offered in 1:18 scale.

I almost kept it but decided to send it on!  😉

There have been some nice 1/43 partworks Alfa vans as well as those Politoys plastic ones!

Thank-you Karl. Now I wonder whatever happened to those two models as I absolutely loved them.

Mine too. I also have the Solido, missed out on the Technomodel.

Interesting comparison between the early 1967 A12 and the later 1977 series, especially how the design evolved while still keeping that utilitarian Alfa character. The Giulia engine connection is a great detail, and the mix of petrol and later diesel options makes these even more historically significant in commercial vehicle development.
