Here's another look back at a post I featured a while ago...

Love this type of post, John, especially when the subject is Mopar!
Here's my contribution:
It's a little jewel in this color! The paint job is spectacular.

That is a great one too. Since these photos were taken-I added the Dodge in that color too. I got it because the side trim is different-not sure why it is offered both ways.

I seem to recall that when I bought the dark red one comments made were regarding the side trim being incorrect. I must say that of the bunch displayed this Dodge is my least favorite for styling, but I bought it anyway just as a representation of that rather odd Chryco era. They look great on display together though!
I think you're right. I remember when I bought this one from Randall, I couldn't find any photos of an actual car with this trim, but I loved the color so I went for it anyway. I figured that somewhere this exists-probably a restoration with a personal choice.

David the pic you posted immediately reminded me of the images depicted in the Jell-O Car Wheels series from the early 1960s. Does anyone remember them?
Great series!

I have 2 complete sets of these with plastic holder and one with the catalogue. One interesting thing I like about the set is that there is a Canadian Monarch (late 40s) and 1960 Ford Frontenac (Falcon equivalent made for Mercury Division) depicted.
Poor DeSoto got left out again.

Oh right.......that surprises me.
